The Competition Center (CeCo) of the Adolfo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez University is a space for information and dialogue on competition matters with a Latin American scope. We seek to transmit the advances, limitations and applications of competition law and economic theory.<\/p>\n
We are a platform to discuss the standards and procedures that minimize the errors of sanctioning efficient conduct or exonerating actions harmful to competition.<\/p>\n
We are inspired by the proper functioning of the market economy. We want to guide different actors -lawyers, economists, directors and executives of companies, journalists specialized in economic matters, State agents- to understand the market economy and its regulation, through current news, opinion columns and research.<\/p>\n
We want to contribute to improve the quality of the debate and thus connect our country and region to the best practices in free competition and economic regulation, with special emphasis on the changes that the digital age will bring. We critically follow the activities of the competition agencies in our country, Latin America and the most influential jurisdictions, especially the United States and Europe.<\/p>\n
We promise to act with independence and honesty and to explain in simple – and directly – matters that are complex.<\/p>\n
